In Brief

Thursday update – no new post today; which completely stinks.  See you Friday.

A crash-y computer limits us to mostly direct-to-us submissions today.

The League of Conservation Voters has let us know that they are still recruiting for this Chispa Communications Director opportunity – 5+ years’ experience in media & communications & fluency in Spanish required; preference for candidates with background in grassroots community, issue or labor organizing programs – apply by Jan. 19

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine is in search mode for a Media Relations Specialist with approx. 5 years of journalism/media relations experience and an interest in promoting plant-based nutrition.

Dupont Circle-based marketing and experience design agency 360 Live Media has just passed these along:
  • Senior Copywriterseeking creative, self-starter who has experience delivering exceptional copy & concepts
  • Account Managerrockstar problem solver & relationship manager preferred
Venture capital/private equity firm Anzu Partners seeks Communications Manager (scroll to find) with strong media relations skills & 2-3 years’ experience, preferably in a PR firm or Capitol Hill/Administration setting.

International maternal & family health stalwart Jhpiego has passed along these opportunities to join their Baltimore-based team:
WomenHeart/The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease is seeking a Senior Associate, Digital Communications with at least 3-4 years of experience & a background in communications/marketing for a healthcare association or other membership organization; proficiency in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Final Cut & InDesign also valued.

As we first noted in mid-November, we can no longer find direct links to jobs & internships on Capitol Hill (they’ve changed the link structure in some fashion that means we can no longer just “add one” to the most recent URLs to get the latest ones), but we have stumbled onto a source for jobs on the Democratic side of the aisle via the Office of the Whip – beyond that, we suggest signing up for the email-based House Employment Bulletin and checking out the online Senate Employment Bulletin.  If anyone can find the new direct links or has other Hill job resources to share, please pass them along.
