The Best Job in Washington?

We previously featured regulatory affairs opportunities at Amgen, and you may wish to note that a couple of them still show up when you search opportunities in the “District of Columbia” office. You can also find a newly-posted job for Senior Counsel Global Government Affairs and Reimbursement in that location, and, in their separately-listed “District of Columbia Regional Office” location, an opportunity for a Government Affairs Manager. Sorry for the lack of direct links to the jobs, but the Amgen listings are not easily linkable.

Who has the best job in Washington? Jason Campbell, perhaps?* For my money, it would be whoever gets to assemble the President’s Daily Brief. That job is not currently advertised, as far as I know – but the Intelligence and Operations Analyst position with the DHS Secretary’s Briefing Staff (somehow, as part of General Dynamics) seems like it’s in the same ballpark. If the previous link gives you trouble, search via this link using job ID: 487050. Of course, the job requires a requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Here’s more info on CNN’s new wire service operation. Naturally, the folks at AP are thus far unimpressed. Bonus coverage: Previously-featured Time-Warner External Affairs VP and Executive Assistant jobs also remain listed there.

Bonus coverage: not DC-based, but they have some interesting less-experienced communications opportunities in their Oak Brook, IL headquarters – specifically Manager, U.S. Communications and Web Content Specialist (both also findable here under Communications category).
